Hypertextopia

Hypertextopia is a web platform for writing and publishing hypertext stories. I made it to address the problem of linking within documents, as opposed to just among them. It uses Rails for the backend, and fancy Javascript and Canvas work for the interface. You're missing out if you don't give it a try.

The theory behind the site is based on studying how links are actually used on the web. Eventually, you'll be able to read more about it in the manifesto.

The Mission

FierceFrontiers is a new web-design studio based in Providence, RI. You can think of it as a one-stop-shop for websites of all shapes and specifications, although most of my work is with small businesses. I am in this line of work for love of the internet above all other reasons. It's the world's newest frontier, and writing for it is both a joy and a pleasure.

Creating XHTML as an alternative to say, a pamphlet or television spot, is a wonderfully semantic way to communicate ideas. Websites are not only accesible from all corners of the world, but can also be interacted with a variety of devices: laptops, cellphones, voice-readers, and artificial intelligences -- to name a few. Plus, the aesthetic of it, the sheer logic and formality, is a beautiful thing. When the next American masterpiece appears, it will show up on the internet first.

When you hire FierceFrontiers to create your site, you get full service design and consulting about all aspects of this internet adventure. I will advise you on where to host your site, how to get the highest search rankings, and will research your competitors in an effort to outshine them. My prices are extremely competitive.
